I started this blog with three choices for titles:
- Adventures in Social Media
- The Social Media Guinea Pig Chronicles
- The Guinea Pig Chronicles
The first sounded boring and the second one was too long and didn't fit in the box at the left.
So I'm settling on the third title because that's what I always say to people when I try out social media or social networking sites: "I'm guinea pigging myself."
I'm a huge information junkie. It's a leftover trait from when I worked in radio years ago where my core value was: Info in, info out. I probably click on 90% of the links that are shared on Twitter and Facebook that have anything and everything to do with social media, links that come from people I've come to trust on Twitter in particular and not the kind that has spam written all over it. I blame it on my Input Theme. Links from streams like TweetSmarter (formerly known as Twitter_Tips), FasTake, and SocialMedia411, provide me with a steady diet of social networking morsels to feast upon.
So this is me starting another blog. Most of my other blogs are dead now. I blog on Typepad for work, and not being able to pass up "Free", I decided to try on Typepad's Microblog for my new topic dump, social networking.
I'm not an expert, nor a guru. Just a guinea pig.
